Ok, so I can hardly believe I'm even writing this, but....
I'm coming home tomorrow.
What?
Yes.
Weird....
So the plan was that I was going to change my flight in order to stay here for a bit and travel around Uganda, Kenya etc. But then Ariane (the friend I was going with) ran out of money, and had to cancel. I was still planning on going myself, and began the looooong and involved process of trying to get Kenya Airways (affectionately nicknamed Kenya Maybe) to change my flight. I found out Saturday that there is little to no chance of this happening. Which means, I'd have to forfeit that flight, book another one back and stay here by myself.
So what I decided (last minute, of course, because that is just how I roll, people) is that I am not very excited about losing money on an unnecessary flight and also not reeeeally excited about travelling here alone in the off-season. I'm sorta kinda thinking there wouldn't be a big problem finding fellow backpackers here, but Kenya especially is just not good times if you are alone, white and female.
So. To my Ontarians (or close to)... I'll be home Thursday. Probably. This is assuming I don't get stuck in England....
Then I'm home for a bit, catching my breath, meeting my baby horse, and heading out to somewhere (Asia/Africa) this summer for a month or so (cos I still have my travel $ saved!)
Whew.
Ok, I'm off to confirm my flight, get some last-minute stuff done, generally freak out, but also really enjoy my last day in Kigali - I will be having some mango juice.
Missing Rwanda already....
See y'all soon.

Wow, this is surprise.
I'm not sure Canada is ready for your return. I'm going to have to make some phone calls.
But seriously, I hope you have a safe flight home.

i have the perfect solution! you can fly out to bc and visit me :) or if by some miracle i have a penny left i can stalk you around the globe. well it is tax season maybe the government will be friendly with my return. anyways... hope your flights are smooth and glad i didn´t hear any stories of nairobbery. i was starting to wonder about you doubting my hitchhiking in argentina and then talking of going to uganda alone!!! crazy girl. anyways. enjoy your animal reunition (just made that one up i think). and hopefully you and i will also be reunited! i will have to call you, i´ll be back in van next week and i´m pretty sure i´m using my parents phone to call you while they are gone hehehe! so get ready for an epic 3 hour phone call from yours truly :)

While we're sad your plans have been rearranged a bit - we're very excited to see you and hear some more stories!
